Reviews and Ratings
Upon arrival, I noticed a slight plumbing smell, but the rooms having their own keys for security and an adjoined living space were convenient. Unfortunately, there was no wheelchair access. The hotel staff kindly arranged for a sandwich but lacked professionalism at the reception desk. Despite a few rough edges, the staff generally were very friendly and helpful during my stay, except for the receptionist who checked us in. The location was great for walking with family and the dog, especially at the picturesque Castleconnell. The dining experience was relaxing, and I highly recommend trying the Potato Cake with Smoked Salmon and Capers. The hotel provides clean and pleasant facilities, making it a suitable place for a stay.
My stay at the hotel was quite good overall. The rooms were spacious but could have used better ventilation. I had a bit of trouble reading at night due to the lack of bedside lamps. The location was beautiful, with stunning walks by the river. The dining experience was an additional cost but definitely worth it. However, I was disappointed by the absence of kitchenette facilities in the family suite courtyard rooms.
